About

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is a national government agency under the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) mandated to enforce the Fire Code of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 9514) and other related laws. The Bureau is responsible for protecting lives, property, and the environment through effective fire prevention, fire suppression, fire safety enforcement, emergency response, and public safety education.

The BFP is committed to building safer, more resilient communities by promoting a culture of fire prevention and preparedness. Through regular fire safety inspections, public awareness campaigns, emergency response operations, fire investigation, and community partnership programs, the Bureau works to reduce fire incidents and strengthen public confidence in fire protection services.
