Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, July 10, 2026 — FO1 Arven T Carido of the Titay Municipal Fire Station, in collaboration with the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Titay headed by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Grazelle Anne F. Carido, successfully conducted a three-day Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training from July 8 to 10, 2026 for 25 RHU personnel to strengthen their emergency response capabilities and enhance the delivery of pre-hospital care.
The three-day training equipped participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in responding to medical emergencies, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), patient assessment, airway management, bleeding control, and other life-saving first aid interventions. Through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on simulation exercises, participants gained the confidence and competence needed to respond effectively during medical emergencies.
The activity highlighted the strong collaboration between the Titay Municipal Fire Station and the Rural Health Unit in promoting continuous learning and professional development among frontline healthcare workers. By enhancing the competencies of RHU personnel, the training contributes to faster, safer, and more effective emergency medical care for the people of Titay.
