KIPIT, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, July 31, 2026 — The Community Relations Section of the Titay Municipal Fire Station (MFS) conducted the Fire Square Challenge in Barangay Kipit on July 31, 2026, bringing essential fire safety education, basic rescue techniques, and emergency medical awareness to residents of one of the municipality’s farthest barangays.
The activity aimed to strengthen community preparedness by equipping residents with practical knowledge and skills that can help prevent emergencies and save lives before professional responders arrive. Participants learned fundamental fire prevention measures, basic rescue techniques, and medical tips, including the proper response to common emergencies in remote communities.
Barangay Kipit, located several kilometers from the town center, faces geographical challenges that can affect emergency response times. Recognizing these circumstances, the Titay Municipal Fire Station continues to prioritize the delivery of fire safety and disaster preparedness programs to far-flung communities, ensuring that residents are empowered with life-saving knowledge and skills.
