Children’s Letters of Faith and Gratitude Touch Hearts of Titay MFS Personnel

Spread the love

TITAY, Zamboanga Sibugay, July 25, 2026 — Personnel of the Titay Municipal Fire Station (MFS) were deeply touched after receiving a heartfelt surprise from children of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, who visited the station to personally deliver handwritten letters of appreciation and share words from the Holy Bible in recognition of the firefighters’ dedication and service to the community.

The children expressed their gratitude through heartfelt messages thanking the firefighters for their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property. Along with their letters, they shared Bible verses and words of encouragement, reminding the personnel that every act of service, no matter how difficult, can become a blessing to others. Their simple yet meaningful gesture filled the station with joy and served as a powerful reminder that kindness, faith, and gratitude have the ability to uplift those who devote their lives to public service.

In return, the firefighters welcomed the children with an engaging fire safety storytelling session. Through interactive discussions, they taught the young visitors about fire prevention, what to do during emergencies, the importance of knowing emergency hotline numbers, and how every child can help keep their home and community safe from fire.

The visit became more than just an exchange of letters and lessons—it was a meaningful encounter that strengthened the bond between the fire station and the community. While the children left with valuable fire safety knowledge, the firefighters received something equally meaningful: heartfelt appreciation and words of faith that renewed their sense of purpose.

The activity demonstrated that the true impact of public service is measured not only by emergencies responded to, but also by the relationships built with the community. Sometimes, the greatest source of strength for those who serve comes from the sincere prayers, gratitude, and smiles of the very people they are sworn to protect.
