TITAY, Zamboanga Sibugay, July 13\u201315, 2026 \u2014 The Titay Municipal Fire Station (MFS), in partnership with the Titay Rural Health Unit (RHU) headed by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Grazelle Anne F. Carido, successfully conducted the 2nd Batch of the Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for RHU personnel from July 13 to 15, 2026, further strengthening the emergency medical response capabilities of the municipality’s frontline healthcare workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-day training was facilitated by FO1 Arven T Carido, who served as the resource speaker and instructor. Participants underwent comprehensive discussions and practical exercises on Basic Life Support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), airway management, patient assessment, and other essential first aid interventions designed to improve their competence in responding to medical emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and confidence of RHU personnel in providing immediate and effective pre-hospital care. Through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on simulation exercises, participants gained valuable experience in managing emergency situations where timely intervention can save lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conduct of the second batch reflects the continuing collaboration between the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Rural Health Unit in promoting capacity-building among healthcare professionals. It also reinforces both agencies’ shared commitment to ensuring that frontline responders remain well-equipped to provide quality emergency medical services to the people of Titay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
