TITAY, Zamboanga Sibugay — September 11, 2026. The Titay Municipal Fire Station (MFS) conducted a Fire Square Roadshow at the Titay Municipal Hall grounds on September 11, coinciding with the commemoration of the tragic September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in the United States.
The activity transformed a day of remembrance into an opportunity to strengthen community preparedness, as BFP Titay firefighters engaged participants in practical emergency response skills.
During the roadshow, participants were introduced to basic firefighting techniques, first aid, and rescue skills, giving them hands-on knowledge that can be applied during emergencies while waiting for professional responders.
The activity also underscored the broader role of firefighters in protecting communities. Beyond responding to fires, BFP personnel are trained to provide assistance during medical emergencies, rescue operations, and other situations that threaten lives and property.
